Sao Paulo FC announce Juninho is back
- How was your experience in the United States Soccer?
There were two very good years. The first adaptation, but I was well and they wanted to renew. We were conference champions west. But this year was much better, just got out of a card or other game or injury, always playing the holder and alongside great players. We were crowned with the title and grown a lot as a player and as a person too.
- You did pre-season in St. Paul in January, why not stay?
They [LA Galaxy] had a preference for renewal and it was important for me to play there again. And it was very good to me. Now it's different, I gained more experience, more moral. Management is relying on me and Leo is very good for young people. I have to prove that I belong here.
- The cast is full of players from the base. Have you ever played with someone?
I worked with several and I am very happy to reconnect with their friends to fight for position with them.
- How do you see the race for the position?
The Sao Paulo team is great, top team. The competition is great, but each with its characteristic, everyone will fight. You must be available, train well, work hard and show that deserves to play.
- As you come to Sao Paulo?
Moreira Sport and playing for a game against Sao Paulo in Barueri, the children's category, the Cilinho [who was coordinator of the basic categories of São Paulo at the time] saw me and took me to play.
- He found players like Muller, Silas and Sydney. Have any meaning?
I hope that this will happen and I can shine here as well.
- What was the biggest lesson the United States?
Coming to a country without knowing anyone and make history, turning idol, is very significant. It brings a lot of experience. Living abroad, turning in another language [now speaks English and Spanish] was also important.
- What do you expect for 2012?
A special year for me. I am returning to the club that I designed and I will get my statement on the team. I hope that with titles.
