“He has a tremendous amount of promise and potential, and we’re excited that he’ll be able to continue his development with the first team,” Klein a former Galaxy midfielder who is senior director of the club's academy program, said in a news release.

Villarreal, in the same release: “It’s been my dream ever since I was little to be a professional soccer player, so to be able to do that and stay close to home so that I can play in front of my family and friends is a dream come true. Growing up here in the area, I’ve always watched the Galaxy and been a fan of the team, so this will be a great experience for me.”

Juninho Gone resigns for SPFC

Alright well Juninho is gone he extended his SPFC contact for 3 years

here are a few Quotes from Juninho
"With a good season I did, SPFC came to me before finishing the championship. I got a good proposal, and even having been approached by other clubs, I decided to renew with SPFC"
"It will be difficult, SPFC have great players who have won a lot. Many know the value that is playing here. But even though the competition will be great, I know my qualities and potential.
I want to thank Galaxy and all of my fans for your kindness and support for the past two years that I was on the team.
I will always have a place for you in my heart. I want to let you know that I have decided to re-sign with Sao Paulo fc.

Marcelo Sarvas to LA Galaxy Done Deal

Marcelo Sarvas will join the Galaxy from the Costa Rican club, head coach Bruce Arena said on Monday. The 30-year-old Brazilian will help bolster LA in 2012 as they will look to repeat as MLS Cup and Supporters’ Shield champions.

“He’s played against us twice this year, so we know the player," Arena told reporters during a conference call on Monday. "He’s a good player. He’s a good passer and is an experienced two-way midfielder. I think he’s going to be a good addition.”

Sarvas has played for several clubs prior to arriving in Costa Rica. He spent time with four different Swedish clubs from 2004-08 before moving to Polonia Warsaw for a spell.
A native of São Paulo, Sarvas came up through the youth ranks of Brazilian powerhouse SC Corinthians Paulista. He was also an integral part of Alajuelense’s Verano 2011 title-winning side after joining the Costa Rican side in 2010.

LA Galaxy Trade Goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts to Montreal

The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has traded goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts to Montreal Impact in exchange for allocation money.
One of Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena’s first signings, Ricketts was acquired on December 23, 2008. In three seasons in Los Angeles, he played and started 70 games, logged 6,168 minutes and recorded 27 shutouts, including a club-record 11 in 2010 when he was voted MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.
The Jamaican international was a major factor in the Galaxy’s defensive improvement over the past three seasons, helping turn a club that gave up a league-high 62 goals in 2008 into one of the best regarded defenses in MLS. A two-time MLS All-Star in 2009 and 2010, Ricketts also helped the Galaxy reach MLS Cup twice, in 2009, when the club lost to Real Salt Lake in penalty kicks, and 2011, when it beat the Houston Dynamo 1-0 to win their first league-title since 2005.

LA galaxy to play the Philippine Azkals

LA Galaxy will be in Manila in early December to play Philippines men’s National Team on December 3 This, after the formal contract signing between Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president Mariano "Nonong" Araneta and Galaxy president Tom Payne took place earlier today at a press conference in Makati. The match will be the second leg of the Galaxy's tour of Asia and Australia, coming after a still-to-be-determined fixture on November 30 and preceding the finale in Melbourne on December 5.The Galaxy will fly in on December 1, which will give them enough time to conduct a clinic for underprivileged kids of the Bantay Bata Foundation. The clinic will be held on December 2 from 2 to 4PM at the Rizal Stadium

"Yes, the full team will be here," Payne said. "We understand what this is about. We understand we have some famous players, one in particular, and our entire team will be on the field as they always are."

"We organized everything in hopes that we're gonna win a championship," Payne explained, "so we're not traveling till after the MLS Cup, which is our championship, and that's November 20th. It's actually at our stadium, so we have homefield advantage.

"We thought that convincing win against Nepal was good enough, but here we are served with an early Christmas bonus to have a chance to play against a team like the LA Galaxy," Palami said. "And I'm sure it's not just David Beckham. I've received a lot of e-mails inquiring about Donovan and Robbie Keane."

CCL LA Galaxy Lineup Prediction vs Morelia

ok Beckham did not make the trip Juninho has a red card for this game so the Lineup just kinda hard to predict

At Forward start the hard working Barrett and try to let Keane feed off of him
from what we saw last game i would love to see Cardozo start but Keane and Cardozo would not work two small players at forward

The midfield Donovan, Birchall, Stephens and Franklin he has to start at mid he on a roll but you can switch him into Jordan spot move Donovan to the right and bring in Magee to the left side of the mid

the Defense has to be  Todd, AJ, Omar and who ever we put there Franklin,Jordan, or Hejduk
